Mark was the guy who made everyone laugh.
No matter how bad someone's day was, he always had a joke, a smile, or a light-hearted comment. People loved being around him. He had this energy that made the world seem brighter.
But what no one knew was that Mark's world was anything but bright.
At home, his parents argued constantly. He barely slept at night, drowning in worry about things he never spoke about.
One day, during lunch, his friend Emily noticed something different.
Mark was laughing... but his eyes seemed tired.
That night, she sent him a simple message:
"Hey, I just want you to know that if you ever need to talk, I'm here."
Mark stared at the message for a long time.
He had never told anyone how he felt. But in that moment, he realized something:
Maybe he didn't have to carry it all alone.
The next day, he sat next to Emily, and for the first time, he let someone in.
